Doug Yocher got his start in the fire service as a member of the Cheshire Fire Department, and was a career member of the Hamden Fire Department from 1969 until his retirement in 2000.

Doug is still active in Cheshire, though, where he once served as Chief of Department.  He was recently the subject of an article published in the Meriden Record-Journal.
